Calix Oil Heaters are used to heat lubricating oils to prevent premature wear at low starting temperatures. These can be used for transmissions, gearboxes, pumps, axles/differentials and engines. Using the calix cable system, you can install this in conjunction with an engine block pre heater to heat both coolant and oil using one supply. Low Watt Density. Liquids such as water, vegetable oils and salt baths can tolerate high power density heaters, any liquids with high viscosity or low thermal conductivity, such as petroleum based oils, require low power density heaters. If the power density is too high, then the liquid or material will carbonise resulting in damage to the liquids being heated and the heater itself.

The full calix range of engine & block heaters are designed as a modular system where the end user can build a complete system from the various components based on their specific requirements, therefore this heater is supplied as a bare bones unit with just the following components.

Extension cables, wall socket cables, timers, battery chargers, water pumps, interior air heaters etc are available to buy separately.
